“ Celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary here and could not have picked a better place. The atmosphere on the 63rd floor with windows throughout the dining room with views of the city is just so spectacular. They also have 3 different patios you can walk out on to take in the views. The food was obviously incredible but the restaurant and staff are so thoughtful which is really what made our experience. I'm currently pregnant and they adjusted everything and were very considerate, checking in with each course what I felt comfortable eating. Harris was our server and he was so so kind, made the night feel so special! The focus is seafood and then heavier courses later in the meal focusing more on meat dishes. We loved every bite. The A5 Wagyu supplement was well worth it and mouthwatering ”
“ A recent visit with the tribute to James Kent menu was incredible. The concept of a globally inspired fusion from the kitchen really shines through. Service was perfect and of course the views are incredible. ”
“ Having 2 Michelin stars, the service at Saga was , of course, top-notch; super attentive, friendly, and personal. For the two stars, the food was a little underwhelming imo. Don't get me wrong, some stuff was delicious, but other dishes felt flat. It is, however, a great experience for a special occasion. ”
“ Best dinner ever. My partner and I came here to celebrate her birthday, and we opted for the 7 course meal. This was a perfectly timed 3 hour experience, and it never felt "too long". The food itself was amazing and complex and everything you would expect from a 2 Michelin starred restaurant. I'm a big eater and I was struggling to finish the desserts at the end, which I'm appreciative of because I wouldn't want to spend all that money and still be hungry. Obviously the food is going to be great. I also want to say that I appreciate the little details and I know Saga does too. The service was phenomenal and very professional. You can tell they value communication and it really makes a difference. The quality of plates, bowls, cutlery, and even the coasters were so high end. The coaster felt like 2 pounds which is very heavy for a coaster, how neat! Honestly if Saga was even on the ground floor it would be as amazing as it is, but it being on the 63rd floor just makes the experience that much better. There's 2 private balconies on opposite sides to essentially give you 360 degree views all to yourself and your party. As a tourist that's been in the city a few times, this was the best experience to take in the city views. No crowds, no people, just you and your party. This was also our first time experiencing a Michelin starred restaurant (and spending this much on a dinner), but it was all definitely worth it and we would love to come back. ”
“ Impeccable service. It felt so personal and tailored to our celebration. The food was absolutely iconic. I'm still dreaming about the caviar dish. Definitely go for the truffle upgrade and the wagyu. ”
“ Food: Went with their tasting menu and was not disappointed! All the dishes were flavorful and it was just an experience to dine at a place who drew their inspirations from the Moroccan culture! Cost: As a Michelin two star, the tasting menu was indeed on the pricey end however you're paying for not only the meal but the service and experience! Environment: The inside was a little too dark for me however the views out on the balcony were superb! A little sad I got there while the sun was setting however the moment I was able to enjoy relaxing, sipping on the complimentary welcoming cocktail, and taking in the view of NYC was still a memory to remember! Service: Excellent. Everyone was outstanding- from the moment we walked in and were greeted by several waitress/waiters to the mixologist to the sommelier. The best part was I didn't feel pressured to order more or felt people were upselling items during my experience. Uniqueness: Came here for to celebrate some milestones and had such a lovely dinner and experience! My absolute favorite was the Moroccan mint tea they gave out at the end! ”
“ Expensive but Worth It! This is one of those "you need to try it at least once" places! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was incredible. The meal was a feast--so much food, and every course was absolutely delicious. The staff was super attentive, and the presentation was out of this world. What really stood out were the thoughtful details. They surprised me with a handwritten birthday card, and we left with a beautifully monogrammed wooden box containing a chocolate treat and a hand-painted menu of the evening. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, this is it. It's pricey, but the experience is worth every penny! ”
“ TLDR: I think this is more a 4.7/5 due to a couple of misses in service and getting to the actual restaurant (we waited for 30 minutes downstairs before we got to the elevator), but the ambiance, service and food made up for it. Really enjoyed my experience here and would come back for a special occasion! SETTING: rescheduled a reservation after someone in our group got sick the night before with no issue. We came on a Thursday night for a 5:45 reservation. The entrance is kind of weird and confusing - it's in an office building with a host stand. When I arrived at 5:40, the host stand was completely overrun with people waiting / checking in. They have barstools out and there were a good amount of people milling about. It was pretty chaotic. We then had to wait about 30 minutes before we were in the elevator going up. It's an old building and the architecture is beautiful. They take you upstairs for a quick drink at the bar and then outside to admire the view. After that you are seated in a dark, plush room, lots of velvet, low lighting and old school opulence. FOOD: the food was very inventive, creative and delicious. I particularly loved the special add on which was mushroom farro risotto with white truffle. It was decadent, packed with umami flavor, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Every course was a hit, and every plate was cleared. I don't think there was a single item that we didn't like. SERVICE: service was good, but a bit disjointed and slow for a 2 star. I don't particularly care if dishes are set down at the same time but do know that's what most 2 star restaurants do. Some plates took a bit to come out. All in we sat down at 6:15pm and didn't leave until 11pm... so it was a long dinner but part of that delay was our own fault as we did drink copious amounts of wine that night. VERDICT: all in, I think saga does a fantastic job of showcasing all the diversity of NYC through its inventive and creative dishes. The views are absolutely incredible- you are on top of the world! I would come back for a special occasion. ”
“ I said this about Crown Shy, and I'll say it for Saga too: fine dining that ACTUALLY tastes good. The talent that Chef Kent had is so obviously visible, and I'm happy to see his legacy live on. I've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, and Saga really stands out. First, you get a complimentary cocktail which is such a nice way to start. They also have a non-alcoholic option, which I really appreciate. You're able to enjoy your drinks on their terrace, and the views are absolutely incredible. I had no idea that this was part of the meal, so I was happily surprised that we were able to view the sunset while we were outside. I knew then that we were going to have a great experience, and I wasn't wrong! We chose to do the regular tasting menu, and it was soo much food. I really loved all the different types of cuisine. Since there was no menu, every course really was a surprise. My favorite bites were the foie gras and the king crab soup, but really everything was amazing. The foie gras was a play on a choco taco - it was so creative. I don't even like foie gras, and I loved this course. The service was top notch as well. It was so fun watching them pour the tea, and they even brought out a chocolate cake for my parents' anniversary as an extra dessert. They were able to box my desserts with no issues because I really could not eat anymore. At the end, they give you a menu which is really nice because I have the memory of a goldfish. Overall, this is such a unique, delicious, amazing restaurant. I highly recommend going for a special occasion! I'd happily go back, especially since their menu changes constantly. ”
